As Sunny Deol is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited ‘Gadar 2’, an old interview of the actor hit cyberspace where he slammed actors for dancing at weddings.
Targeting Shah Rukh Khan?
Although Sunny didn’t take any actor’s name, it was claimed that his target was Shah Rukh Khan who was very popular for dancing at big weddings and making a lot of money.
- Sunny had said, “You lose dignity when you dance at others’ weddings. Though it has now become fashionable, I believe that one loses self-respect. We are actors, not people doing ‘tamasha’.”
- Sunny also commented, “Only mujrawallis dance at weddings, not actors. I think actors should maintain their dignity. Dancing at a friend’s wedding is okay, but getting paid to dance is cheap. Next, you’ll ask me, ‘Isn’t prostitution better than borrowing money from the market? I don’t agree with this kind of logic’.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s Response
Shah Rukh apparently reacted to Sunny’s comment saying, ”There is money attached to it because I use that money to make my own films. I don’t have to borrow money to make films. The happiest moment for anyone is marriage, and I love participating in that… Only the richest people in the world can afford me.”

About ‘Gadar 2’
Talking about ‘Gadar 2’, helmed by Anil Sharma, the movie is the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. Sunny will once again be featuring in his iconic Tara Singh avatar with Ameesha Patel as his Sakina.
