When asked about his preference between Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, Uthappa stated that he would choose both spinners for the ICC World Cup 2023 squad.

He praised Kuldeep’s improvement in bowling and his consistent performance whenever given an opportunity.

“Kuldeep is a much-improved bowler… He has performed out of his skin. I certainly think Kuldeep should also be an option. Kuldeep and Chahal are equally dangerous,” Uthappa added.
